Mark Ronson is a producer and musician, composer, best known as the author of the hit “Uptown Funk” performed by Bruno Mars. Biography. The early years of Mark Ronson
Mark Ronson was born on September 4, 1975 in one of the most influential families in Britain. The ancestors of the artist and his two younger twin sisters Charlotte and Samantha, who immigrated from Austria and Lithuania at the end of the 19th century, had the surname Aaronson, but the boy’s paternal grandfather shortened it to a more convenient and not so clearly related to the Jewish roots option Ronson. The extensive family tree of the Ronson family gave Britain major entrepreneurs and politicians, and Mark was destined to become a show business star.
In the early 80s, Mark’s mother Ann divorced his father Lawrence Ronson, a businessman and producer, and Mick Jones became her second husband. His stepfather lived in New York, where he had a music studio, and Mark spent his childhood surrounded by such rock stars as Johnny Hallyday, Billy Joel and Van Halen, who collaborated with Meek for many years. Spending most of his time in the States, the boy met every vacation with Lawrence, his father, so the formation of his musical taste was influenced by both the classic traditions of American rock and Britpop, the era of triumph of which was the time for Mark to grow up.
In New York, Mark lived in his stepfather’s house in Manhattan, studied at a private school and was friends with Sean Lennon. After graduating from school, the young man entered Vassar College, and then to New York University.
Since childhood, Mark saw his future only in music, he recorded his first mixtapes at the age of 15, when he plunged into hip-hop culture, and at 19 he was already a fashionable DJ, for whom New York clubs literally fought. The unique style of the young musician, harmoniously combining different directions and stylistic devices, attracted the attention of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and he invited Mark to become part of his advertising campaign team as a composer and DJ at a luxurious fashion show in 1997. The following year, P. Diddy himself hired Mark as a DJ for his birthday, which was undoubtedly a kind of advertisement and had an impact on the growth of the young artist’s popularity.
In the early 2000s, Ronson began working on his first record, the tracks of which he recorded with Ghostface Killa, Aya, Q Tip, Jack White and other popular rap artists. In the US, “HereComes the Fuzz” was not particularly successful, but in Britain it became the event of the musical year, earning favorable reviews and rave reviews.

Ronson considers his undoubted success to be producing and helping to create the album “Man in the Mirror” by rapper Rhymefest, which is a tribute to the memory of Michael Jackson.
Over the next few years, Ronson’s company worked with Duran Duran, as well as Red CarpetMassacre, Lily Allen and Adele.
In 2010, Ronson released the record “Record Collection”, most of the compositions of which were written by Mark and first performed by his band Marc Ronson & The Business Intl.

Mark Ronson’s personal life
In 2002, the artist began dating singer Rashida Jones, however, the engagement, which they announced in 2003, was terminated.
For several years, Mark was single, in 2011 he married the singer and actress, the beautiful Parisian Josephine de la Boom, but the couple’s relationship lasted until 2017 and ended in a divorce by mutual agreement. The official divorce proceedings ended in October 2018.
Since 2018, Britain’s Most Stylish Man, as Mark is called by the English media, has been in a relationship with producer Rebecca Schwartz.
