Lauren Hashian was born September 8, 1984 in Linfield, Massachusetts, the second child of rock musician John Thomas (Saiba) Hashian and dancer and model Suzanne Gipp. From her father, in whose veins the blood of Italian and Armenian emigrants flowed, Lauren inherited her musical talent, and from her mother, whose ancestors were English, she inherited the porcelain pallor of the skin and the appearance of a fashion model.

After receiving her primary education, Lauren entered the famous Emerson College in Boston, from which she graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
