Mark Ronson was born on September 4, 1975 in one of the most influential families in Britain. The ancestors of the artist and his two younger twin sisters Charlotte and Samantha, who immigrated from Austria and Lithuania at the end of the 19th century, had the surname Aaronson, but the boy’s paternal grandfather shortened it to a more convenient and not so clearly related to the Jewish roots option Ronson. In the early 80s, Mark’s mother Ann divorced his father Lawrence Ronson, a businessman and producer, and Mick Jones became her second husband. Since childhood, Mark saw his future only in music, he recorded his first mixtapes at the age of 15, when he plunged into hip-hop culture, and at 19 he was already a fashionable DJ, for whom New York clubs literally fought. The unique style of the young musician, harmoniously combining different directions and stylistic devices, attracted the attention of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger and he invited Mark to become part of his advertising campaign team as a composer and DJ at a luxurious fashion show in 1997.
