Biography of Dmitry

An indispensable master in New York, he began his journey from the Russian hinterland, absolutely not connected with fashion. Dmitry was born on December 10, 1988 in the village of Brin-Navolok, Arkhangelsk Region. From childhood, the guy showed a craving for creative self-realization. Knitting, embroidery and modeling perfectly entertained the young man in his free time from school.

Dmitry made the decision to choose a future profession while still a teenager. Therefore, he went to study hairdressing at the Technical School of Technology and Design, after which he immediately plunged into work.

Beauty Industry Career

In the small homeland there was sufficient demand for high-quality hairdressing services. But Dima quickly realized that for him it was not just a job, but a lifestyle. He went to St. Petersburg, where he was interested in the Loreal concern (Matrix brand). There he gained invaluable experience working with the best representatives of the profession and world-class models. Dmitry traveled extensively in Russia with a sought-after author’s seminar on hairstyles.

Pretty quickly, the young man mastered makeup. His clients were interested in receiving a range of services, and Dmitry was respected as a master of his craft. An additional direction in the beauty industry turned out to be on the shoulder of a talented guy. He quickly got serious.

Puchnin realized his talent not only in work in salons. He demonstrated his knowledge and skills on the international fashion channel Fashion One, as well as on the TV channel Kultura (Bolshaya Opera project).

After Dima took part in the hairdressing show in Orlando (USA), he thought about taking the next step in his development and taking on new challenges. The states hooked him with the possibility of full self-realization. Having gone through all the difficulties of labor immigration, Dmitry received an O-1 Talent visa and settled in the United States.

Personal life

The make-up artist is completely absorbed in his work, as his Instagram page clearly shows. But close people know Dmitry not only as a fan of his work, but also as a lover of home comfort. He has a husband with whom he lives on the ocean. Their niece Amelia often visits. Dmitry often shoots funny videos and impromptu cosmetics reviews with her.
