 Lea Pasi – the singer, who was called the discovery of 2017 in the musical environment of France, was born on the last day of July 1996. She spent her childhood years in Champigny-sur-Marne. Like most French teenagers, in high school Lea became interested in music, however, unlike her comrades, her idols were not the famous Maitre Gims or Oxmo Pucino, Lea adored the free and daring, but romantic atmosphere of the 80s, she learned to play the guitar based on songs by Jeff Buckley and Jason Mraz.

At the age of 14, Lea bought her first guitar and, following the advice of friends, began posting cover versions of famous songs on YouTube. According to the singer, she decided to take this step, not so much to become famous, but to hear the opinions of other people. Lea’s gentle yet strong voice, clear references to the music of the 80s and unexpected interpretations of popular songs, to which she gave a new sound, attracted the attention of Tristan Salvati, who became her producer. After two years of work with Salvatti and Johann Malori, who became her co-author, Lea entered into an agreement with one of the record companies and released a song that opened her name not only to fellow citizens, but also to residents of other European countries. The composition “Pour aller ou”, according to the singer, was a reflection of her own fears of adulthood, however, there was no regret at all about the passing youth, but only the determination to move forward into the unknown.

In 2016, immediately after its appearance, the song “Where to go” became one of the most listened to on many music platforms, and soon the singer announced the start of work on her first album. “Chapitre I” was released in 2017, the collection includes such songs as “Adolescente Pirate”, “Gueule d`amour” and “Coup de Coeur”. According to critics, the record turned out to be melancholic, but close to many teenagers who, like Lea, felt like victims in their country, which was on the verge of a crisis. Some critics emphasized the absence of a rebellious spirit in Lea’s songs, which, however, was explained not only by her optimism, but also by the participation of Johann Malory, who was a co-author of many of her songs.

Having become a discovery in 2017, Lea toured a lot with her album, her songs, especially “Pour aller ou”, were set as a ringtone, young musicians tried to imitate her, and in 2018, the performer’s creative biography was replenished with several songs that brought her even more popularity. Speaking on Virgin Radio, Lea presented a cover version of the famous Big Flo et Oli song “Dommage”, which became almost more popular than the original. Lea also covered the song “Castle in the snow”, but most of all the audience liked her version of the song “Trop beau”, which was released by rapper Lomepal. Especially, compatriots liked the fact that in the performance of Lea “Trop beau” became lighter and more lyrical, although it did not lose its tragedy.

There are a lot of rumors about Lea’s affections, to the appearance of which, however, she is directly related. In an interview for Figaro, the performer stated that she might be able to have feelings for both men and women. Subsequently, she explained that she meant, first of all, the inner world of a person who could attract her, regardless of his gender.

Despite the fact that “Chapitre I” remains Lea’s only album, she continues to release new songs. In 2019, she gave her fans the compositions “A nos folies” and “Prend les notes”. The singer is often invited to participate in pop shows and concerts, where she sings both her own songs and popular covers of other artists’ songs. Together with Gauvan Sers and Tibz, she sang the song “Foule sentimental”, written by Alain Souchon, and which became a French pop classic.

Since the end of 2019, Lea has been collaborating with James Blunt, fans expect the release of their joint collection in 2020, however, there has been no official information from either the representatives of the musicians or themselves.
