Daria Sheiko (“Sheik”) is a singer, model and video blogger who became popular in the spring of 2018 after the release of the debut song of the duet RASA, the male half of which is represented by her husband, Viktor Popleev.

Daria’s homeland is Ukraine, she was born in the Donetsk region, in Gorlovka on December 2, 1993. Even in her childhood, Daria Sheiko realized that she had artistic abilities, she participated with pleasure in all school events. The girl loved to sing, danced with pleasure, but she did not dream of a creative career.

Having received a certificate, Sheiko left her native Gorlovka and entered the Dnepropetrovsk University of Customs and Finance. In her own words, participation in the university beauty contest was a kind of adventure for her, and the victory was a big surprise that changed her life.

Collaboration with the best modeling agency in Dnepropetrovsk helped Daria create her own unique image and gain self-confidence. Despite the fact that Dasha does not have high growth and standard model proportions, in 2015 the director of ProFashion Agency chose her to participate in the Miss Intercontinental contest.

As Daria said in an interview for Vesti Pridneprovya, her task was not to win, but to adequately represent her native country. Also in an interview, Dasha shared her beauty secrets, the main of which she considered proper nutrition. To all the girls who, like her, could not boast of glamorous thinness, she advised “to eat cottage cheese at night and play sports.” At the competition in Magdeburg, this bright blonde in national costume took fifteenth place and received an offer to advertise toothbrushes from the German manufacturer Emmi-Dent.

Returning to Dnepropetrovsk, Dasha graduated from the university, the girl dreamed of continuing her education in Poland, but she could not enter the magistracy and then moved to Moscow. In the Russian capital, Daria tried to resume her modeling career and took part in castings, she also began to shoot videos in which she shared the secrets of applying makeup.

Contrary to the opinion that popularity can be achieved by demonstrating magnificent breasts, Dasha did not indulge her subscribers with daring photos, and her success can be attributed not only to external attractiveness. The ability for self-irony and sense of humor of this smiling blonde won many hearts. But she gave hers to Viktor Popleev, whom, according to some online sources, she married in 2017.

At the beginning of 2018, only the members of the duet knew about the pop duet “Rasa”, but in March of the same year, the release of the video “Under the Lantern” literally made people talk about the young team.

It is noteworthy that the ranks of Rasa’s fans included not only compatriots of the soloists, but also citizens of many European countries. During the year of existence, the duo released more than ten singles, most of which became as popular as the debut song.

In February 2019, the couple allowed themselves a little rest, they spent several days in Amsterdam, and the video report was published on the official YouTube page, which brought a lot of joy to the fans. Together with Viktor in the spring and summer of the same year, Daria performed in major cities of Russia, and the duet also visited Azerbaijan and the Baltic countries with a concert program.

Having become guests of the MUZ-TV channel, Dasha and Victor said that they really want to become parents, but for the next few years they intend to focus on developing their musical career.
